Father kills two minor daughters

A small-time trader in Bihar’s Rohtas district allegedly shot dead his two minor daughters and seriously injured his wife as he was buried under huge debt, police said on Thursday.

Lalit Narayan Singh, a native of Bhojpur district lived in a rented accommodation in Bikramganj and ran a mobile recharge shop there. “Singh first attacked his sleeping wife Gudiya Devi, but an injured Devi fled to the neighbour’s home to save herself and raised an alarm,” the police said.

According to a source, Singh was suffering from depression due to a huge debt over his head that was he had taken for his business and was unable to repay.
