Moments after the Cabinet Expansion of the Narendra Modi government on Sunday, a tweet by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu hinted at his apparent exit from the ministry.
In his tweet, Prabhu thanked everyone for their love, support and goodwill.

It must be noted that not so long ago, Prabhu had met PM Modi and supposedly offered to resign as Railways Minister.
Following two incidents of train derailment within a week , Prabhu had taken moral responsibility for the mishaps.
However, Prime Minister had told him to wait and media reports suggest that the supposed resignation was not expected.
Speculations have been rife for quite some time that Prabhu will be shunted out of the ministry.
"I met the PM, taking full moral responsibility. He has asked me to wait," Prabhu had tweeted after meeting the PM. "I am extremely pained by the unfortunate accidents, injuries to passengers, and loss of precious lives. It has caused me deep anguish," he stated in a tweet after the meeting.
The Kaifiyat Express derailed in UP after being hit by a dumper, injuring 70 passengers. On August 20, the Utkal Express derailed in UP, killing 23 passengers. The Railways had accepted, prime facie, negligence by its staffers as the reason behind the derailment.
