The Maharashtra ATS has filed a final report in the 2014 Faraskhana bomb blast case before a special court here, stating that all five suspects are now dead.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge K K Jahagirdar sanctioned the final report on June 23, 15 days after it was filed by the agency, an ATS officer said today.

Five persons were injured in the low-intensity blast in the parking lot of Faraskhana police station, located adjacent to the famous Dagdusheth Halwai Ganesh temple, on July 10, 2014.

The ATS stated that all the five suspects-- Ahmed Ramzan Khan, Zakir Hussain alias Sadiq, Shaikh Mehboob alias Guddu alias Ismail, Mohammad Aizazuddin and Mohammad Aslam-- are dead.

Khan, Sadiq and Ismail, lodged in the Bhopal Central Jail, were killed along with five other members of the SIMI in an alleged encounter by the Madhya Pradesh police in November last year after they escaped from the facility.

Aizazuddin and Aslam were killed in an encounter in Telangana in 2015.

"With all the five suspects wanted in the (Faraskhana blast) case are now dead, we had sent a final report for abetted summary to the court here 15 days ago and Additional Sessions Judge K K Jahagirdar sanctioned the final report on June 23," the officer said.
