Facebook 'friend' allegedly rapes American minor in Gurgaon

An American minor was allegedly raped by an African national in Gurgaon. The girl has told police that they befriended on Facebook.

The Gurgaon police said the 16-year-old American from Texas lives in Gurgaon with her mother who works for an MNC.

The girl said she made friends with the accused, who is said to be on the run, on Facebook six months ago. She also told police that they had met twice last month. The man, 21-year-old whose nationality could not be confirmed took the girl to a guest house in Gurgaon on March 16 and sexually assaulted her, says report.

A case has been registered after a medical examination at AIIMS confirmed the rape.
