Smita Salaskar, wife of slain encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar who fell victim to the bullets of terrorists during the Mumbai carnage on Thursday termed the granting of bail to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander and 26/11 accused Zaki Ur Rehman Lakhvi as disappointing and felt that she could only get justice once the masterminds of those who committed the crime gets punished.

"It is very disappointing that he got bail. I feel justice can only be given when the masterminds get punished... Everybody knows that terrorism flourish on the soil of Pakistan. We are highly affected but then the whole world is also affected, their own country is also affected because of that," Salaskar told ANI here.

Meanwhile, a survivor of the 26/11 carnage, Sanjay Kathar echoing similar views said, "He (Lakhvi) shouldn't have got a bail no matter what, he should be hanged."

Earlier in the day, Pakistan's anti-terror court granted bail to Lakhvi. According to reports in The Dawn, Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency's prosecutor had disagreed with the bail plea, but the court released Lakhvi with surety bonds worth Pakistan Rs 5,00,000.

The LeT Commander's bail comes just days after the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked a school in Peshawar.
