TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Saturday gave her blueprint for political programmes ahead of next year's Lok Sabha elections. And she virtually made it clear, that with Bengal as a stepping stone, TMC is looking for a national role. Didi fixed a steep target of winning all 42 seats from Bengal in next year's polls. She said that Bengal will show direction to the nation from next year and for that TMC needs to increase its clout. Currently, the party has 34 seats in Lok Sabha.

Launching a blistering attack on Modi government, she said that Emperor bigger than Hiltler and Mussolini is ruling the nation and is teaching hate. Mamata Banerjee predicted BJP's seats will significantly decrease in the next elections and they will be down to around 150 seats. Regarding yesterday's no-trust vote, Mamata Banerjee said that BJP may have got the numbers in Parliament but they are losing allies outside. In a pointed reference to AIADMK, Didi said that the Tamil Nadu party bailed out BJP. However, if Jayalalithaa was alive, it wouldn't have been so. She also said in next polls DMK will do well in Tamil Nadu, so BJP will not gain anything. She also predicted that BJP will lost at least 50 seats in Uttar Pradesh if SP-BSP alliance works properly. Referring to the federal front, TMC supremo said that BJP's 2014 equation will not work in 2019.

Didi also announced a clutch of programmes in the run-up to next year's polls. It will start with BJP hatao, Desh bachao campaign on 15th August. It will culminate to a federal front meeting at Brigade Parade ground in Kolkata on 19th January 2019, where all top opposition leaders will be invited.

Didi also gave a checklist of all the schemes working in Bengal and urged workers to help the poor. She warned Congress and the Left over covertly helping BJP in Bengal. Taking a jibe at stage collapse in Modi's rally recently in Bengal, Mamata said that those who can't build pandals are dreaming of ruling the nation.

The whole rally was virtually a curtain raiser for TMC campaign in the coming months. Mamata Banerjee ended by saying that the  21st July meet will be held next year after winning India.
