Some of the emails and text messages exchanged between a model and Deputy Inspector General of Police Sunil Paraskar have revealed that the two had heated arguments over the latter's alleged closeness to model Poonam Pandey. This revelation confirms dna's report on the issue.
The model has accused Paraskar of sexual assault and rape between November 2013 and March 2014 when he was posted as the additional commissioner of police (north region). Currently, the Crime Branch is probing the case.

DNA had reported earlier that the Mumbai Crime Branch would be questioning Poonam Pandey in connection of the case after the complainant and the suspect police officer named her in their statements. She has alleged that Paraskar was harassing her at the behest of Pandey because she is close to him and is a professional rival of hers (the complainant's).
What has crime branch found?
Analysis of emails between the complainant and Paraskar has shown that a number of them had the mention of Pandey. "As we were going through the mails, we came across mails where Paraskar and the complainant are having an argument over Pandey" said an officer privy to the investigation on condition of anonymity.
He further added "There are mails where the complainant stating that Paraskar is doing things to get publicity to Pandey and in the reply mail Paraskar is pleading stating that he does not even know Pandey".

DNA has copies of the mails where the complainant states that Paraskar has tried every trick to inconvenience her. One of her mails reads, "I swear I will prove my point in media would love to see you getting naked in public, and don't try to tell me its publicity gimmick....". A mail from Paraskar reads, "Someone is deliberately misguiding you to create sensational story for his gain... I have never seen this lady, Poonam Pandey or have never spoken to her or have spoken to any police officer for her in my life."
