NEW DELHI: The Noida police on Thursday  presented in court what it claimed was new evidence to prove differences between Aarushi and her father Dr Rajesh Talwar.

Seeking the court’s permission to perform narco-analysis, brain mapping and lie detector tests on Dr Talwar, the prime suspect in the twin murder case, the police produced chats and emails from Aarushi to her friends and father.

In their latest attempt to nail Dr Talwar, who is under three-day police remand, the cops claimed that while scanning the hard disc of Aarushi’s computer, they found an email suggesting the accused had been objecting to something his 14-year-old daughter had done and that Aarushi had been trying to justify herself.

Sources confirmed that in an email  cops tracked from Aarushi’s computer, she wrote, “I just wanted to try it out coz I heard from mah frndz n [person’s name concealed] too…. n even [person’s name concealed] so wotz da harm…I wnt do it again n I kinda noe hw u r feelin.”

(I just wanted to try it out because I heard from my friends and [person’s name concealed] too... and even [person’s name concealed] so what’s the harm… I want to do it gain and I kind of know how you are feeling).

The e-mail then mentions how Aarushi valued “hanging around” with her parents and her request to them to allow her to do something for “one time”.

She writes, “I love hangin arnd wid u guyz… thnkz 4 everythin…bt one time…a smile…will show up 4eva…thanku mum and dad… Take car.” (I love hanging around with you guys.. Thanks for everything... But one time... A smile will show up forever... Thank you Mum and Dad… Take care).

The police had, at the time of Dr Rajesh’s arrest cast serious aspersions on the character of both Dr Rajesh and Aarushi. Inspector General of Police (Meerut Range) Gurdarshan Singh had claimed that Dr Rajesh had an illicit affair with his colleague Dr Anita Durrani and that his daughter had objected to this.

Singh had also claimed that on the night of May 15, Dr Rajesh had found Aarushi in an “objectionable but not compromising position” with his domestic help Hemraj. An enraged Dr Rajesh had then brutally murdered the two in cold blood, the police had claimed.

However, Singh had failed to back his insinuations about Dr Rajesh and the minor girl with any solid proof, drawing the wrath of Union minister for women and child development, Renuka Chowdhary, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Aarushi’s friends and family, and the media for the “character assassination.”

While the e-mail, the latest evidence that the cops have come up with in this sensational case, is expected to raise more eyebrows, Noida police continue to claim that they have arrested the right man and that they would crack the case soon.

A senior police officer said that the e-mail would help establish in court that Aarushi was rebellious and that Dr Rajesh objected to her behaviour. The cops also claim that Aarushi was in regular touch with “three boys” through emails, Internet chats and SMS texts and that Dr Rajesh “disapproved of his daughter’s growing communication with these boys.”

The cop said, “these chats and emails would establish Aarushi’s social behaviour in court, which is most crucial to build a portrait of her relationship with her father.”

The cops, in their police diary, have also refuted claims that a former cop discovered the body of the domestic help on the terrace of the Talwar residence on May 17 and say it was the Talwar couple that called to inform them about the discovery.
