Rumours are out with leads coming in that it is a clear victory and clear majority of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). They seem to have achieved the mission 272+ mark they had been aiming for. Celebrations have broken out in the streets, and the faces behind this victory, smile sitting at the BJP headquarters. With some results already out, and some giving strong leads, here is the status of key BJP leaders:
Narendra Modi, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, is the clear winner in Varanasi and Vadodra. Arvind Kejriwal who claimed to have confidence in the people of Varanasi, seems to be defeated. It seems like there was never a Kashi wave, like the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed. With a swooping margin of over 4 lakh votes Narendra Modi is all set to be the Prime Minister of India.
Lal Krishna Advani is a declared winner from Gandhinagar, Gujarat. However Arun Jaitley the popular spokesperson for Modi is trailing behind Captain Amarinder, in his seat from Amritsar (Punjab).
Dr Harshvardhan has defeated Kapil Sibal at Chandni Chowk, in capital Delhi. While Meenakshi Lekhi won the seat in New Delhi beating the AAP's Ashish Khetan and Congress' Ajay Maken.
Murli Manohar Joshi in the lead in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Rajnath joins in the lead with being on the winning end of his seat from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Uma Bharti on the lead with a high 50,000 votes in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi, the only Gandhi family member part of the BJP wins his seat from Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Maneka Gandhi, leading from Philphit.While, Smriti Irani seems to be trailing behind Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.
Nitin Gadkari leads in Nagpur, Maharashtra, where the BJP is seeing a strong victory with the help of its alliance party Shiv Sena.
Kirron Kher celebrity candidate, is the winner at Chandigarh. Famous celebrity candidate Paresh Rawal has also won his seat from Ahmedabad East. Hema Malini, the Bollywood dream girl is also leading in Mathura. Vinod Khanna another famous Bollywood celebrity, on the lead in Gurdaspur. Meanwhile, Bappi Lahiri is trailing in Sreerampur.
Vijay Kumar Singh, the proud winner from Ghaziabad. Rajiv Pratap Rudy also on the lead in Saran, Bihar. Mean while Sushma Swaraj wins from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh.
