Friday, 16 May 2014 - 11:03am IST | Place: New Delhi | Agency: ANI

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading in 16 of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in early counting of votes in Rajasthan.

This is a much improved performance on the 2009 figure of four seats. Congress candidates Girija Vyas and CP Joshi were trailing in their constituencies.

The president of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee and party nominee from Ajmer, Sachin Pilot, is the only Congress candidate leading at this time.
