Eid al-Adha 2018 country-wise schedule: Dates for Bakri Eid for India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and others

Millions of Muslims across the world celebrate Eid al-Adha. Eid namaz will either be held on August 21 or August 22.

The festival of the ‘sacrifice feast’ or Greater Eid begins on the 10th day of Dhul Hijaah. Depending on the nation, Eid-al-Adha will be celebrated on August 21 or August 22.

The following countries in the Middle East, Northern Africa, Europe, North and South America will celebrate Eid-al-Adha on August 21.

They include Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Libya, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Belgium and other European countries.

Meanwhile, these countries will celebrate Eid al-Adha on August 22.

In the eastern part of the world, which includes South Asia, Eid al-Adha namaz will be offered in the morning of August 22. This includes Indonesia, country with most Muslims and India, country with second most Muslims. The region where Eid prayers will be hold on August 22 include Malaysia, Brunei, Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Kazakhsan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia and others.

Southern and central Africa, including Somalia, Nigeria, Niger, Chad and South Africa will also celebrate Eid al-Adha on August 22.
