The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday issued summons to former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and her son Tejashwi in connection with the ongoing alleged corruption case where during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s tenure as Railway minister, maintenance contracts of two IRCTC hotels were given to a private firm. While Rabri Devi has been asked to appear on October 10, Tejashwi has been summoned on October 11.

The CBI had on Tuesday summoned Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi in the same case, scheduling them for October 3 and October 4 respectively, after they sought more time from the agency and were turned down.

Previously, the two had been summoned on September 11 and 12, but they did not turn up citing ongoing court cases. They were again summoned on September 22, but on September 25, sought a two-week extension from the CBI. It was denied and fresh summons were yet again issued for October 4 and 5.
