Trouble for AIADMK Deputy General Secretary TTV Dinakaran is likely to mount as Delhi police have issued a lookout notice against him for allegedly trying to bribe Election Commission officials to allot the 'two leaves' symbol to their faction.

The development comes amid the AIADMK Amma group's decision to keep VK Sasikala and TTV Dinakaran out of the party and the government.

All sea and airports have been alerted with Dinakaran's details. Immigration officials have also been directed to alert police if he tries to board a flight.

The notice has been issued over the fear that Dinakaran may try to flee the country. Dinakaran has been named as accused in an FIR filed by the Delhi Police crime branch.

However, Dinakaran has rebuffed the charges saying he does not know accused middleman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, adding that the case will be fought legally.

"I will legally face if any summon comes to me from the Delhi Police. I don't know anybody by this name, Sukesh Chandrasekhar (alleged middleman). I haven't bribed anyone for anything," Dinakaran had said.

Chandrashekhar had struck a deal for Rs 50 crore to help the AIADMK faction to keep the 'two leaves' symbol, the police alleged, adding that Rs 1.3 crore and two luxury cars, a BMW and a Mercedes, were recovered from him.

The court asked the Delhi Police's Crime Branch to medically examine Chandrashekhar, who is in police custody till April 25, after every 48 hours and allowed his lawyers to meet him in custody.

The EC had frozen AIADMK's symbol after two factions led by Sasikala and former chief minister O Panneerselvam staked a claim to it.

The bypoll to the R K Nagar Assembly constituency was scheduled for April 12, but the EC cancelled it, saying the electoral process had been "seriously vitiated" by parties through use of money power. Dinakaran was the candidate of the Sasikala faction.

The bypoll was necessitated following the death of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on December 5 last year.
