There’s a good news for those who want to book online tickets for trips to state’s forest tourist parks but often get stuck-up in technical glitches in payment for debit and credit cards and clogged forest websites. The state government has now taken an initiative to provide a speedy redressal to their online booking problems.
The Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoITC) of state government has initiated the task to design web-based application software for online booking for three tourist parks –Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve (Sawai Madhopur), Sariska Tiger Reserve (Sariska) and Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur). A software would link forest department’s website with e-Mitra portal by exposing it as payment gateway.
The proposed project says the existing online booking system has many salient features. For instance department’s website provides complete details regarding the booking dates, the vehicle type and entry routes. The tourists can view the availability as per dates of their preference, number of people visiting the forest tourist parks, seats or vehicle availability, thus helping them to prepare a comfortable tour plan.
But, an additional feature is now required to bear dispose payment related grievances which are common while online booking. The e-Mitra portal shall be used as a payment gateway to the third party application in future. The service provider shall automatically be routed to the payment gateways available on e-Mitra, for payment after selection of service by the user on third-party application website.
The project’s brief drafted by the DoITC explains the plan of payments. The brief states that “The end user or customer shall fill in and submit all required details for availing the service on third-party website (forest) and click on submit button. On clicking the submit button, the user will be routed to e-Mitra payment gateway page. After successful payment at eMitra, the transaction will be committed at e-Mitra and user will be redirected to third party’s web site with a success status.”
With the success status you your booking will be cleared.
The department has floated bid to induce project and invited bids. A department official said, “With the project the e-Mitra will become payment gateway for booking tickets. It would remove hassles existed currently in booking,” he said.
