At about 7:45 in the evening loud cheers shook the AAP's war room in East Patel Nagar. Chanakya exit poll predicted AAP may win 48 seats, one of the most trusted exit polls.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was seen in the war room, watching the exit polls unfold. Though volunteers claim that he was equanimous throughout, and so are they about winning and losing, the sheer glee is palpable.

Irrespective of Chanakya's exit poll getting this right, it is undeniable that AAP has given BJP a fight. And one of the reasons behind this is highly motivated and charged cadre. The reason for that is that every person in that party knows that this is their last shot. When Somnath Bharti says that he has had tea in every other house in Malviya Nagar he isn't exaggerating, the people testify to that. This approachability comes from Kejriwal himself who visited the homes of Valmiki Basti residents, unlike Modi whose security reportedly shut down the place when the PM visited.

In their last campaign, AAP had made a great success out of roadshows, which they ditched this time for Jan sabhas. Volunteers say that this idea came from Kejriwal, who apparently realised that people wouldn't vote for him again unless he had conversations with them.
