Domestic violence case: AAP MLA Manoj Kumar appears before DCW

Aam Admi Party MLA Manoj Kumar appeared before the Delhi Commission for Women on Monday in an alleged case of domestic violence against him. DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal said Kondli's MLA's wife has lodged a complaint of domestic violence against him following which a summon was issued against him.

"We had issued the summon to the MLA to appear before the Commission and he appeared today. Even his wife was called. Today was the first hearing," said Maliwal.

"DCW does not differentiates between a common man and an MLA and that is why he appeared before the Commission today and proceedings are on. We will help his wife get justice," she said.

Kumar is one of the many AAP legislators against whom the Delhi Police has filed criminal cases.
