Two days after Raj Thackeray called Narendra Dabholkar's murder state-sponsored eliciting sharp reactions from the ruling Congress-NCP combine, Narendra Dabholkar's daughter has made an appeal: Do not politicise my father's death.
On Thursday, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray had said that Dabholkar's murder was state-sponsored. He also questioned why investigation into the case has not gone anywhere yet.
NCP's Nawab Malik responded by saying that Thackeray is speaking out of experience. While Congress's Manikrao Thakre dismissed the comment as a mere publicity stunt.
Dabholkar's daughter Mukta made her appeal against this backdrop.
Dabholkar, the noted protagonist in the movement against blind faith and superstition, was shot dead at Omkareshwar bridge in Pune on August 20.
