5. Pune: 11 college students drown off Murud Beach in Raigad district

11 students of Pune's Inamdar College were reported to have drowned at the Murud beach in Raigad district on Monday. There were eight girls and three boys among the dead. However, students claimed that some of their friends were still missing and it is feared that they too have drowned. Read more here.
