AIADMK split wide open as Sasikala faces party revolt; Panneerselvam sacked from party posts

Events in Tamil Nadu took a dizzying turn late on Tuesday after former Chief Minister and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhakam (AIADMK) treasurer O Panneerselvam was sacked from primary membership of the party.

The sacking came after the former CM earlier in the day alleged that he had been forced to resign from the post and was not even informed about the legislators' meeting.
