DMDK party leader A. Vijayakant Monday announced the sale of application forms for people aspiring to contest the Lok Sabha election in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

 

DMDK party leader A. Vijayakant Monday announced the sale of application forms for people aspiring to contest the Lok Sabha election in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

He said the forms can be bought from the party headquarters from January 23. Each form for a general constituency costs Rs.20,000, and Rs.10,000 for a reserved seat.

Vijayakant said those desirous of contesting the Lok Sabha election from Tamil Nadu (39 seats) and Puducherry (one seat) could submit their forms by February 1.

He said prospective candidates should be party functionaries or primary members.
