Education experts feel that the central board students may benefit more than state board students in getting admission to degree courses, as the pass percentage for central board students is better than state board.

Suhas Pednekar, principal of Ramnarain Ruia College, said, "Looking at the pass percentage of all three boards, I think the cut-off list may benefit more ICSE and CBSE students than HSC state board students."

Dr. TP Madhu Nair, principal of Nirmala Memorial Foundation College, said, "I think the cut off percentage may go up, because the pass percentage of all three boards is good. The competition to get admission in reputed colleges will increase. But all students will get accommodated."

Dinesh Panjwani, principal, National College, Bandra, said, "I may not able to speak about the cut-off percentage at this point. But what I have come to know that students have done better in Science stream this year. So we expect them to remain in the science stream for degree courses, rather than going to other streams like BMM. Pure sciences offer good opportunities to students."
