BJP leaders have strongly reacted to Digvijaya Singh retweeting an abusive meme about PM Narendra Modi. One leader from Madhya Pradesh, Lokendra Pareshar even launched personal attack on Digivijaya Singh while protesting against the meme shared by the Congress leader.
He is quoted by ANI as saying,
Jinko beti ki umar mein aur patni ki umar mein farak na pata ho vo humare PM par ungli uthate hain?:Lokendra Parashar.BJP on Digvijaya Singh pic.twitter.com/D47D1FFu9R

It roughly translates to: 'How dare Digvijaya Singh raises finger at PM, when he can't differentiate between daughter and wife's age?"
BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi reacted to the meme saying, it is 'deplorable, pathetic and condemnable'.
Earlier Digvijaya Singh shared this meme on social media.
Digvijaya later defended saying, "Retweets are never endorsements. This is the basic principle of Twitter," he said. "I have said it is not mine. I have disowned it. I have not used those words".
Asked whether he endorsed what he retweeted, he said, the same had been sent to him by someone and he only retweeted it. "I have said that this is not mine. But, could not help it." "Not mine but couldn't help posting it. My apologies to the person concerned. He is the best in the "Art of Fooling!"," he said while posting a picture of Modi with the offensive tweet.
