As Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party stayed resolute in opting for sitting in the opposition in the Delhi State Assembly, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Wednesday questioned the AAP's delay in forming a government in Delhi.
Baba Ramdev asked: “Why is the AAP not forming the government.
“Did Kejriwal only want to show his power or, did he want to serve the people?" he asked further.
He further said that the AAP should form the government with the support of the Congress.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) , the single largest group in the 70-seat house with 31 members, as well as the AAP, which won 28 seats in its very first election, have refused to form a government.
The Congress says that a number of senior leaders of Delhi are of the opinion that the party should extend unconditional support to the Aam Aadmi Party to form a government in the national capital.
AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal, however, said that his party will neither take nor extend support to either BJP or Congress to form the government. He said, AAP is ready for fresh elections in the city.
Meanwhile, BJP's chief ministerial nominee Harsh Vardhan said, his party does not have enough numbers to form a stable government and is ready to fight the election once again.
