Traffic on Erode-Coimbatore section was disrupted following a technical snag in Mannargudi Express near Tirupur in the early hours, following which all the trains on the route were delayed by four hours, official sources said.

The Nilgiris Express, which was to arrive at 5.50 AM at Mettupalayam, via Coimbatore, arrived at 9.30 AM.

As a result, the NMR, a major tourist attraction to Queen of Hills, Udhagamandalam, scheduled to leave at 7.10 AM, departed at 9.50 AM from Mettupalayam, the sources said.
