Delhi Polls: 'Kejriwal wants to be in news, my duty is to work', says Kiran Bedi

Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) chief ministerial candidate for Delhi Kiran Bedi on Wednesday accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal saying he always has to do something to be in the news.

"He (Kejriwal) always has to say something to be in the news. Arvind Kejriwal is a person who wants to be in the media at any cost. Negativity suits him (Kejriwal) and he believes in negativity, otherwise how will he be in media?" Bedi told ANI.

"People should not get manipulated by him, he always want to stay in the media. My work is to work for the people. I want to be there for those who need me," she added.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal has said the party would meet the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and urge him to allow the party to put banners outside each booth to educate voters, as they suspected tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) ahead of Delhi Assembly elections.

Earlier on Tuesday, AAP had alleged that the EVMs are being tampered with ahead of the assembly elections in the national capital.

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. The counting of votes will take place on February 10. The last day of campaigning is February 5.
