Two men were injured in New Delhi on Sunday evening after being hit by a patrolling PCR (police control room) van, police said. The vehicle's driver has been arrested.

Two men were injured in New Delhi on Sunday evening after being hit by a patrolling PCR (police control room) van, police said. The vehicle's driver has been arrested.

The injured identified as Harish Chand, 28, and Ajit, 48, have been admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, police said. Their condition is out of danger.

"The incident occurred at 4.30 pm near Shiv Mandir at Barakhambha Road in central Delhi, when the duo crossing the road," said a senior police officer.

The driver, head constable Mahendra Singh has been arrested, police said, adding he said the accident occurred in a bid to save a child.
