The Tilak Nagar eve-teasing case took a new turn on Tuesday after the accused cried foul and alleged that the girl was an AAP supporter and was doing it for political mileage.

Bollywood Actress Sonakshi Sinha reacted to the uproar over the alleged Delhi eve-teasing case, saying she is embarrassed and let down by the incident and apologised to the guy.
The actress commented on the incident on Twitter, saying, "Being a girl, gave the benefit of doubt to Jasleen, like many others! And like many others am embarrassed n let down! Apologies to the guy."

However, responding to the allegations Jasleen Kaur said "Even if I belong to a political party, does it validate the case of eve-teasing? The college to which I belong is not a part of Delhi University Students Union and thus I cannot be a part of any university election".
After the whole case unfolded, an eye-witness came forward and rebutted the allegations levelled by Jasleen Kaur. The Delhi Police had filed the case in the Tilak Nagar eve teasing incident on the basis of the victim's statement. However, the accused is now out on bail.
