Delhi legislator Vinod Kumar Binny on Sunday refuted charges levelled against him by AAP leader Alka Lamba and said it was part "a conspiracy by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal".

Binny, who has been accused of claiming on a social media post that Lamba is running a sex trade in her house, said in a press conference on Sunday that someone had created a fake account in his name to malign him, about which he had already informed police and law authorities.

"Someone has created a fake account in my name with an intention to malign me. Two months back, I reported the matter to the police commissioner, crime branch and local police. It is a conspiracy by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal. I don't even know Alka Lamba," Binny said.

He also said that he would file a defamation suit against Lamba. According to Binny he had on September 19 filed a complaint with the Ashoknagar police station SHO about the existence of a fake account.

In her complaint, Lamba has alleged that Binny, the Lakshmi Nagar MLA, had falsely alleged on social media that she was running a sex racket at her house.

"Binny posted a comment on his social networking account that in a police raid at my house, two girls were arrested for sex trade," the AAP leader alleged.

She had on Friday night lodged a written complaint against Binny and 37 others at Kotla Mubarkpur police station.

Based on her allegations, the Cyber Cell has registered an FIR against Binny under Section 66A (sending offensive messages through communication service) of IT ACT and Sections 354D (stalking) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC.

In the FIR, 37 other persons have also been booked for the same offence. Binny was expelled in January this year by AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal for engaging in anti-party activity.
