Congress has been virtually relegated to the sidelines in the upcoming Delhi election and its falling stock has now affected its website too.
The website of Delhi Congress (http://www.dpcc.co.in/) and online portal of national mouthpiece Sandesh (www.congressandesh.com) are currently offline after site administrator Sanjey Puri decided to cut ties with the party. On http://www.dpcc.co.in/, currently this message is coming :
Administrator of both these sites, ex NSUI head Sanjey Patel has been a Congress member for 30 years. According to media reports he decided to leave the party after being denied ticket for the fourth time. Sanjey has decided to independently fight elections from Janakpuri constituency and is likely to file nomination paper on Wednesday. Congress party sources though maintain that differences will be sorted out and Sanjey will continue to be part of Congress. But as of now, the non-functional website has become a major embarrassment for the party. The Sandesh portal was started way back in 2001, and Delhi Congress website was launched in 2008.
