With AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal taking a short break, party candidates will hold road rallies in their constituencies for two days, starting Saturday. This road show will be undertaken by party candidates on Januray 3 and 4 and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal will not participate in these rallies.

Party sources said the decision to hold road rallies in next two days was taken to beat the Model Code of Conduct, which could come into place next week.

"Our understanding is the Model Code of Conduct will come into place by next week. This will not only restrict the number of vehicles, which could be used in the rallies, but will also involve multi-layered permissions from different authorities. We want to avoid this, which is why our candidates will hold road rallies in next two days," said a party leader. He added that while holding Arvind Kejriwal's road rallies in Delhi in assembly and Lok Sabha polls, the party faced problems with authorities showing the rule book on number of vehicles to be used.

Meanwhile, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has taken a short break from his hectic campaigning due to sore throat. The party will also hold the second leg of Delhi's rural Dialogue on Sunday at Chhatarpur focussing on villages, which are now fairly urbanised. This includes area from North of Palam and South Delhi and has constituencies like Greater Kailash, Mehrauli, RK Puram and Kasturba Nagar.

"Although these constituencies are urban in nature, it also has villages, which have been so far neglected," said a party leader.

Last week, the party had organised Delhi's rural Dialogue in Najafgarh, mostly highlighting the issues of farmers.
