Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) spokesperson Rajeev Tuli on Saturday said the RSS has no role to play in the Bharatiya Janata Party's decision over their next chief ministerial candidate from Delhi for the upcoming assembly polls.

"It is an internal matter of the BJP to decide who they want to nominate for the chief ministerial post. RSS has nothing to do with this decision. When the BJP requires guidance, they come to us, otherwise these decisions are theirs to make," said Tuli.

Earlier in the day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that former IPS officer Kiran Bedi would play an important role in government formation in Delhi. It is being speculated that Bedi, who joined the party on Thursday, might be projected as the next chief minister for the party in the upcoming Delhi assembly polls.
