A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Pakistan for 'meddling' in Gujarat Assembly Elections, Pakistan on Monday strongly rebutted the claims.
Dr Mohammad Faisal, the spokesperson of the Pakistan Foreign Ministry, distanced Islamabad from any such debate.
“India should stop dragging Pakistan into its electoral debate and win victories on own strength rather than fabricated conspiracies, which are utterly baseless and irresponsible,” he said in a tweet.

The statement comes after the Prime Minister raised questions over the 'secret meeting' of top Pakistani officials at the residence of now-suspended Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar.
The PM said that Aiyar had called him 'neech', a day after the meeting of Pakistani leaders with top Congress functionaries.
“No Indian official was present during this meeting and the government also was not intimated later,” the PM had said at an election rally in Sanand.
On Monday, though Congress did accept that meeting took place at Aiyar's place, but denied it to do anything with Gujarat elections. Addressing media in New Delhi, senior Congress leader and party spokesperson Anand Sharma said that, 'it was not a meeting, but a dinner. Do we need a permission from the PM for it?'
