In what can be termed as a date straight from hell, a woman was recently arrested in Jaipur for murdering a man she befriended on the dating app.

According to The Hindustan Times report, Priya Seth, daughter of a college professor was involved in flesh trade for over six years.

The 27-year-old along with her boyfriend killed Dushyant Sharma after the couple realized that he wasn’t as rich as he pretended on Tinder.

According to the police, Seth first lured Sharma on Tinder and then called him over at her Jaipur flat. It was here that Seth’s boyfriend and another friend were also present. After inquring about his financial details, Seth and her boyfriend decided that the man’s family won’t be able to pay the extortion money. So they killed him.

‘But when Sharma visited her, she found out that he was from Jaipur and did not have much money in his account. They thought if he was allowed to go away, he may blow the lid on them so they killed him,’ a police officer was quoted as saying by the HT.

Seth is also involved in another case of extortion. According to the HT report, the 27-year-old was charged with extortion bid by a man who was in a living-in relationship with her for two years.

Seth has so far showed no remorse over all the criminal activities. ‘She would befriend wealthy people through dating platforms and escort service websites and invite them to her flat. When the men arrived, she would tear her clothes and threaten to register a rape case against them if they did not give her money,’ an official was quoted as saying.

At the time of arrest of Nay 4, Seth’s boyfriend, who helped in murdering the man was wearing shoes worth Rs 80,000 and watch worth Rs 45,000.
