CSIR-UGC NET notification released on csirhrdg.res.in - how to check

The exam for Joint CSIR-UGC NET examination is tentatively scheduled for December 16th.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) released the notification for the 2018 Joint CSIR-JGC National Eligibility Test (NET) on its official website - csirhrdg.res.in.

The application process will commence from September 25th and is tentatively scheduled for December 16th. The last date to apply is October 15th.

Why is the CSIR-USG conducted?

The exam is conducted for determining the eligibility for candidates to be appointed as a lecturer in the fields of

1) Chemical Sciences

2) Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences

3) Life Sciences

4) Mathematical Sciences

5) Physical Sciences

The candidate will also be eligible for JREF after clearing the exam depending on scores. Candidates need to have a degree in MSc or Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTECH/Bpharma/MBBS with at leas 55% marks to be eligible. Candidates must be below 28  for JREF.
