Globalisation, rising protectionism and unilateralism may be discussed when PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping meet in Hubei on April 27-28, foreign ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said on Monday.
"The two sides believe the strategic and global significance of our relations have become more prominent and our common interests far outweigh our differences," he said." The meeting is being held when the international situation is undergoing profound changes, he said.
MEA officials suggest that no agenda has been set for the informal summit. The leaders may discuss boundary issues and China's Belt and Road Initiative, among others.
