As the 2013 Assembly election run up heats up, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was in Madhya Pradesh to address a rally.
The Congress leader said, "Who is going to feed the poor? Will building roads and airports give them food?"
Gandhi expressed confidence that his party will come to power in Madhya Pradesh after the next month's Assembly elections.
The Congress VP also slammed BJP's India shinning dream.
"We made three times more road than what were constructed during NDA's period. BJP did not construct as many airports as we did. We will make all those things, but the question is different. Who will feed the people who walk on these roads and work in these farms? Will they get food through roads and airports? Congress does its politics from two perspectives," Rahul Gandhi said.
Responding to Rahul Gandhi's claims Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to Twitter to tweet,
We created roads, people don't need roads. We pamper industries, industries are leaving MP! I can't make any sense. Can you?— ShivrajSingh Chouhan (@ChouhanShivraj) October 24, 2013
