A court on Tuesday fixed January 31 next for consideration on an Action Taken Report filed by Delhi Police on a plea for lodging an FIR against NGO 'India Against Corruption' and its three members for allegedly making "defamatory" allegations against President Pranab Mukherjee.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ambika Singh put up the matter for consideration on the ATR after the police submitted it in the court. However, the contents of the ATR were not known.
The court had earlier directed the police to file an ATR on the plea by Rajiv Khosla who has alleged that IAC member Arvind Kejriwal had levelled abusive and frivolous allegations against President Mukherjee during their demonstration here in support of the Janlokpal Bill.
In his plea, Khosla alleged Kejriwal, IAC and its two other members Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai, had started their demonstration on July 25 this year, the day Mukherjee was sworn in as the President of India. (more) PTI ABA RKS PAL 11061814 NNNN
