Court rejects Radhe Maa's request to remove her name from domestic violence case

The Borivali Metropolitan magistrate court on Friday rejected the self-styled God-woman Radhe Maa's application requesting removal of her name from a domestic violence case filed against her. A Mumbai resident Niki Gupta, in 2014, had filed a case of domestic violence case registered against the god woman and her entire family. The court in its order copy have refused to allow the family members and Radhe Maa to move the case.

Raunak Agarwal, the brother of the complainant, while speaking to DNA said, “The case was registered against Radhe Maa and the entire family in 2014, when the so-called god-woman, came to my sister’s house and she along with my sister’s family members started assaulting and abusing her. Thus, we approached the police station and registered a complaint. However, for the past three years the legal procedure did not move a step ahead, thus we moved the Bombay High court with our grievance and the high court asked to fasten the trial and complete it at the fastest pace. Thus, this order by the Borivali magistrate court has come after the High court’s order.”

Meanwhile when contacted Sanjeev Gupta, the spokesperson for Radhe Maa, he said that he was unaware of the orders and that if such an order has been passed by the lower court then an appeal in the higher court would be filed.
