Cops told to conduct patrolling to check illegal mining

To check illegal mining, the district administration on Thursday directed the police to conduct regular patrolling of the Dadri and Badhra hilly areas. Deputy Commissioner Saket Kumar on Thursday held a meeting with officials to review the status of mining in the district, according to an official release.

He said illegal mining in the hills be stopped immediately and told officers to conduct regular patrolling of the Dadri and Badhra areas. Kumar ordered that a 5-6 foot-deep ditch be dug around the hills to check illegal transportation of stones.

He also directed transport authorities to check all vehicles and impound those transporting stones illegal. Kumar also directed all crusher owners to install CCTV cameras on the first point of each road leading to their establishment so the storage detail could be ascertained on a daily basis, the release said.
