Contai: Dilip Ghosh's car vandalised, 3 critically injured in BJP-TMC scuffle

BJP state President Dilip Ghosh's car was vandalised by miscreants when BJP and TMC workers came face to face at Contai in East Midnapore district of West Bengal. 

Dilip Ghosh was in the city to attend a BjP meet in Janamangal Samiti meeting hall near Contai bus stand. A TMC party office is located right in front of the hall. According to Zee 24 Ghanta, TMC workers started to show black flags as soon as BJP cars started to come in.  This enraged BJP workers who started protesting. Soon, it lead to a scuffle between workers of two parties and around 15 cars were vandalised in the process. 5 people from both sides were injured, Out of them, 3 people are critical. 

Dilip Ghosh was promptly escorted out of harm's way by his securitymen. Reacting to the incident, BJP state President said to ANI, " 'TMC is unable to stop us democratically&is using goons&police to intimidate us by showing their muscle power'. 

So far no one has been arrested in the incident. Police is trying to ensure that law and order situation doesn't deteriorate further. East Midnapore is one of the districts where BJP has shown some signs of improvement in the recent past.
