Congress wins five seats in Madhya Pradhya urban bodies elections

The Congress Party on Saturday registered victory on five out of eight urban bodies seats where elections were held on December 22. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could only manage to win three seats.

The Congress won presidential post in Shajapur Municipal Council and city councils of Dhamnod, Orcha, Bhedaghat and Majholi. The BJP emerged victorious in Sehore, Mandsour and Shahganj. The BJP had won seven out of these eight urban bodies in last elections.
