Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majeed Memon on Wednesday said that the Congress should have gracefully invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the international conference being held to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru.

"Had Congress gracefully invited the Prime Minister for the program, it would have been better. I don't know why Congress did this. I think they are anti-modi," said Memon.

Earlier, Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the party did not invite the Prime Minister as it only wanted to invite 'like-minded' people.
