Congress MP from the posh south Delhi parliamentary Ramesh Kumar took credit of developing graveyards and crematoriums in his constituency to lure voters to make him victorious once again.
The sitting MP Kumar, sought votes and counted development schemes he has started. But there were not many such schemes, he could count, so he switched to tell the audience, how he cared for their nice funeral pyres and respectable burial to send departed souls to heavens. "I am confident that the Congress will have a very comfortable victory in all the seven seats in Delhi. We have built several crematoriums and graveyards for the people," Kumar said in a press conference organised by the state Congress unit. Defending developing seats of last journeys, Kumar said he was proud of having developed and maintain these sites in his area as no other leaders cares for them.
Kumar during his five years term had got two graveyards and one crematorium build in his parliamentary constituency from his MP funds. A crematorium at Baradpur assembly seat and a crematorium and graveyard at Sangam Vihar and Badarpur seat were built during Kumar's five term as an MP.
"Everyone talks about roads, hospitals and community centers, but nobody talks about how and where we bury the dead. I have got three new projects approved in my area," adds Kumar.
