Prime minister and BJP's star campaigner Narendra Modi took a dig at Congress leaders for complaining about EVM tampering using Bluetooth, saying they were stuck in the Blue Whale challenge.

"The Congress is certain of its defeat after the first round of voting, and is raising the issue of EVMs to save Rahul Gandhi. One of its leaders even linked Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to Bluetooth. I want to ask them to stop complaining about Bluetooth. The reality is that they are stuck in the Blue Whale (game), whose final episode will be seen on December 18," Modi said while referring to the banned game, in which players are led towards suicide in the final stage.

Modi made the comment while addressing an election rally in Patan in north Gujarat, and came in response to a complaint by Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia during the first phase polling that EVMs were being rigged using Bluetooth. However, the complaint was found to be without any basis.

"The Congress party has given up even before the second phase of polling. This is because the party realised that it cannot compete with north Gujarat's son," Modi said, referring to his own origins in the neighbouring Mehsana district.

Attacking the Congress for its promise to waive off farm loans, Modi questioned farmers if they wanted a one-time benefit or permanent one. "Do you want a hen that lays golden eggs, or do you want to finish it?" he questioned.

He charged the Congress with spreading lies repeatedly, and also accused the party of abusing him day in and day out.

Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi without naming him, saying they were born with a golden spoon, and would never understand what poverty means.

He also reminded the audience that when north Gujarat was hit by floods in July, the CM and the whole government was camping in the region, "while Congress leaders were having a good time in a resort in Bengaluru".

While lauding the role played by farmers in north Gujarat in the White Revolution, Modi said he wanted them to usher in a Sweet Revolution by focusing on honey production.

"There is tremendous demand for original honey. We can become a major exporter of honey," he said.
