Opposition BJP on Wednesday dubbed the performance of Congress-led Himachal Pradesh government as "dismal" and alleged that the Virbhadra Singh dispensation had failed on all fronts.

"The report card of the government is disappointing as it indulged in politics of revenge and vendetta," Leader of Opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal said in a statement.

Accusing the government of shielding the land, forest and mining mafias, Dhumal said that illegal felling of trees was rampant in the state.

"The Congress government is bent upon 'selling out of the state' and has amended the Tenancy and Land Reforms Act five times to dilute the section 118 and facilitate sale of land to outsiders," he said.

Dhumal accused the government of financial mismanagement and said the state was passing through acute financial crisis and the government was not in a position to meet the committed liabilities on salaries and pensions and is resorting to market borrowings.

Meanwhile, the state BJP spokesman Ganesh Dutt also warned the officers functioning as "agent" of Congress and said that the BJP was preparing a list of such officers and would held them accountable for their wrongdoings.
