Indian National Congress (INC) is facing a strong anti-incumbency factor and may be on its way out of power. A pre-poll Lok Sabha survey conducted by TALEEM Research Foundation for Zee News shows nearly six out of 10 people feel the need to change the central government. Over 60 percent those who participated in the survey feel that the present government must go. This sentiment is more stronger among the age group of 18-25 years (67.5 percent).
It clearly indicates that people are very desperate to see a change at the centre owing to its deteriorating economic situation of the country, corruption scandals etc. Having seen UPA led government for 10 years now, people now want to give chance to other parties as well to see if issues like corruption, development, economic situation of country are dealt with properly.
