Terming Congress and BJP as "black marketeers", Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Tuesday said both parties are just two sides of the same coin.

Addressing a public rally here, Sarkar said "Congress and BJP are two sides of the same coin. Both of them are just black marketeers."

The two parties are always with affluent businessmen and bureaucrats, but never work for the common people, he alleged.

The CPI(M) Politburo member said the present state of affairs of the country is very deplorable and poor economic policies of the UPA are matters of concern.

"The unemployment issue has became a big problem in the entire country... Everywhere nowadays there is corruption. Even the Prime Minister's office is involved in corruption. It is a matter of big regret," Sarkar said.

Criticising the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the Tripura Chief Minister said his Gujarat counterpart "wears clothes that have blood stains of the minorities".

He appealed the public to change the government at the Centre and vote for an alternative pro-people and secular government.

"If the Central government is not changed in proper time, there will not be any development of the people in the coming years. To change the policy, an urgent alternative source is in need, instead of the Congress and the BJP," he added.
