Cong blames UP CM for protests

Facing crisis in Amethi where Rahul Gandhi was forced to beat hasty retreat and cancel many of his scheduled programmes in his constituency on Tuesday because of protests by the BJP workers, the Congress blamed the Yogi administration for deliberately “misusing” its power to curb the rising popularity of its President.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said, “The administration deliberately manhandled and ordered lathicharge on Congress workers as it was getting jittery because of the love that people of bestowing on their MP Rahul Gandhi.”

Tiwari accused the Modi government of using its power to end more than a dozen schemes in Amethi that Rahul Gandhi had brought.
