After directing police officials to prepare an action plan to shut slaughterhouses,  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityantah on Wednesday ordered banning of pan masala, gutkha in all government offices.

According to media reports, Yogi Adityanath was furious at spotting rust stains of paan or betel leaf on a staircase when he visited the old office.

"The Chief Minister inspected the Annexe and directed officials to maintain cleanliness of both the Annexe and the state," said Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya. The annexe, known as Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan, houses the chief minister's office and his secretariat, offices of the state chief secretary, principal secretary (home) and other senior IAS officers. 

In keeping with BJP's manifesto, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed police officials to prepare an action plan for closure of slaughterhouses across the state. He also ordered a blanket ban on smuggling of cows and said zero tolerance would be exercised in this regard.

Addressing Lok Sabha in his farewell speech, Adityanath on Wednesday said, "UP will be the state which our honourable Prime Minister has dreamt of, a corruption-free state, a state free of anarchy. It would be an incident free-state." He also added that his government will be for everyone, not specifically for any caste or community. "We will work for development of all sections and castes and create a new structure of progress," said the Chief Minister of the country's largest state.
