A day after dna broke Rs113crore cricket scam story, political parties have raised the pitch for re-investigating and prosecuting the high and mighty involved in the murky deals of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

"It is open and shut case. You do not need to probe for this. It (cricket scam) is a proved case. It will only need a prosecution. Obviously that will done by the next government after going through the records of investigation. Anybody (including NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah) who has violated law has to face the law," said Naeem Akthar, chief spokesman of main opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Investigators have proved the prima facie involvement of former Union minister and president of ruling National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah in the murky dealings of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

Documents accessed by dna show Dr Abdullah, who is the president of JKCA, along with nine office-bearers, are offenders under Sections 406, 168 and 120-B of the RPC for making the sports body a lending agency and for operating many bogus accounts.

"We have always held no body is above law. Law must apply uniformly to everybody. We had been demanding it for the last six years but it was not granted. If the people give us the mandate it will be our first priority to establish the rule of law that will be for everyone," said Akthar.

BJP, which is fancying a chance to form the first ever government in Jammu and Kashmir, said the first thing they would be doing is to order a probe into the whole scam. "If we will form the government we will order the probe," asserted Khalid Jahangir, spokesman of BJP in Kashmir.

Khalid noted that their government would hand over JKCA to the cricketers who are playing the game. "Cricketers should be the stake holders in the JKCA not the people who have never played cricket. We have youngsters who are plying at national level and they should made the members. We will bring accountability not only in JKCA but in every section of the government functioning," he said.

National Conference, whose president is one of the accused in the scam, has withdrawn into shell. The party has not reacted officially to the scam. dna's repeated attempt to contact Junaid Mattu, spokesman of National Conference did not yield result as he did not take the calls.
